PE & Outdoor Learning

The aim of our PE and Outdoor Learning curriculum is to inspire and provide opportunities for pupils in sport and outdoor experiences. We have two subject teams that have a range of skills across both curriculums.

We believe that the children should participate in a range of engaging, motivating and achievable opportunities both within sport and outdoor experiences. Each pupil has the chance to develop self-motivation, physical confidence and emotional and social skills. These through self-awareness, can be developed to reach personal potential. Through sport, play and outdoor skills acquisition they have the opportunity to learn about the environment, how to handle risks and most importantly to use their own initiative to solve problems and co-operate with others.

Mark Harrison is the faculty lead, supported by Bronte Southern (Outdoor Education), George Holwill (Games & Team Sports), Robert Clutterbuck (Adventure Activities), Carlie Souch (EYFS) and Joe Foster (SEND).
