Teaching Assistants - Various Positions Available

The Cornerstone Academy Trust is responsible for Broadclyst Community Primary School and the recently opened Westclyst Community Primary School. This is an exciting time to join a growing team within the academy trust.

We are seeking to recruit dedicated and professional Teaching Assistants across the MAT. Based in either Key Stage, you will work alongside the class teacher to support children in all areas of the curriculum. You will also assist in the preparation of the learning environment, liaising with parents, maintaining pupil records and carrying out a range of administrative tasks. Relevant experience of working with children and qualifications are desirable (e.g. NVQ level 2 or equivalent or higher).

Required from September 2018, the posts will be for a fixed term until the end of July 2019.

The working hours are typically 30 per week, starting at 9.00am, finishing 3.30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. Posts within our Early Years team may have slightly different working hours.

The positions are term time only + 2 weeks (40 weeks per annum).

The salary will be between £13,762 (adjusted for national living wage if over 25 years old) and £16,264 pro rata. This allows for progression within the role in line with our appraisal and professional development processes. The actual salary will be lower to reflect the hours per week and the weeks per year.

As an employer we offer our employees access to the local government pension scheme, a health scheme, a cycle to work scheme, as well as subsidised meals. You will be provided with modern IT equipment to help you fulfil your duties.

Visits to the school are welcome by prior arrangement.
