Jonathan Bishop

Jonathan is the Chief Executive of the Trust and sits on all sub-committees. He has been with the Trust since 1993, initially as a class teacher, Deputy and then Headteacher. He has 3 children.

Sam chairs the West Clyst Local Advisory Board. She has responsibility for Early Years on the governing body. Sam joined the governing body in 2017.

Ken joined the governors in 2010 and is the Chair for the Local Advisory Board but also sits on the other sub-committees. He is now retired but worked as a HMI Inspector for a number of years and has a wealth of experience from working with various educational bodies including as a regulator for Ofsted Inspections.

Myles joined as a governor in December 2014. Myles sits on the sub-committees for Personnel, Finance and Admissions. He is an Independent Mortgage Consultant. He has a child in year 4 at BCPS.

Henry sits on all sub-committees. He has been a governor at the Trust for the past 6 years. Henry became a National Leader in Governance (NLG) in 2015. He has two children which attend BCPS.

Stewart is an entrepreneur, mentor and advisor having started, grown and supported businesses in several countries including USA, India, UK and Portugal. He is currently a Non Executive Director on the boards of several software companies as well as a Governor of Exeter College. Stewart is a supporter of several charities and establishments related to Children and Education where he believes the lifetime impact can be the greatest..

MP

Matt joined the governors in 2015. Matt has been a teacher at the Trust for 4 years and acts as a teacher representative for the governors. He sits on the Local Advisory Board. Matt has a strong IT background and is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert.

ST

Stephen sits on all sub-committees. He has been a governor since December 2014. He is a qualified Prince2 Project Manager and is a Chartered Member of the Institute for Logistics and Transport (CMILT). Stephen moved to Broadclyst in August 2013 and has a daughter in Year 4.

JW

John joined as a governor in 2015. John sits on the Local Advisory Board and the Admissions Committee. He is employed as a Principal Hydrologist for the Environment Agency’s Hydrology service. John has two daughters currently at the Trust.

Paul Whitmarsh

Paul Whitmarsh is the Practice Manager at Aquila Financial Management and has over 30 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry. Paul previously acted as a parent representative on the Westclyst Local Advisory Board before becoming a Trustee in July 2018; he continues to work on the Westclyst LAB and is also part of the Admissions Committee. Paul and his family moved to Exeter from the Midlands in 2016 and his son was in the first intake of pupils at Westclyst.

BW

Bronnie joined the governors in September 2016. Bronnie trained as a teacher on Broadclyst’s School Direct Programme in 2014 and has worked at the Trust since. She acts as a teacher representative for the governors and sits on the Local Advisory Board. Bronnie’s background is in Drama and the Creative Arts.
